While with David Lee Roth, we were preparing for a video shoot of “Just Like Paradise” and I wanted to have a guitar built that would be an eye catcher, so true to my quirky form, I designed this odd guitar with three necks. The first one was a red one “Red Heart”. A spare was made based on the same specks “Red Heart II”, and a third one was eventually made in the color Purple, “Purple Heart”. Steve used this guitar on the Ultra Zone tour and wrote the song “Fever Dream” with it.
