Guitar Player Magazine’s “Guitar Superstar 2008”

Guitar Player, the world’s preeminent guitar magazine for guitarists who yearn to sound better and play better, is pleased to announce its fourth annual Guitar Superstar competition at San Francisco’s legendary Great American Music Hall, September 13, at 8 pm.

Across the globe, hundreds of string burners of all styles answered the call to post their best performances at sonicbids.com, where the staff of Guitar Player listened to the tracks and selected ten finalists to strut their stuff onstage in front of an esteemed panel of world-famous guitar stars: Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Elliot Easton(the Cars), George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob), and Brendon Small (co-creator of Adult’s Swim’s Metalocalypse animated series). Host of this year’s big event is Andy Summers.
