What's the best guitar you ever tried and why?

We're not talking about value. It's just about the guitar per-se no matter if it belongs to you or not.

Jem 555. I was about to leave the shop and as I turned round-there it was. It's the first time i'd seen one there. So, I got it down plugged it in and-god! Amazing. Haven't tried a 7vwh yet though...

yeah that's the thing about 555s. they blow you away until you try a 7vwh.

How can you post this thread on Steve Vai's message board and not expect all the answer to be JEM JEM JEM? lol

I was in a music store 16 years ago, and tried out an used Gibson DOT. That guitar had the most comfortable neck, and the best action I ever played on. I wish I had the money at the time to buy it.

i havent tried out many. next time i get my parents to take me within a mile of a guitar shop (a rare occasion) i am hoping ot try an ibanez, any ibanez (preferably a JEM tho lol, or a JS)

currently tho, it has to be a Maverick X1, it plays nice, the floyd rose is v nice, n the neck was quite easy for me to sprint around (tho io wasnt any good when i tried it out, i just played about on it)

it beats hands down any squier or washburn lyon(my guitar is a washburn lyon btw)

The problem as I see it is that I have not found one guitar yet that
I am 100% saticfied with.
I own a Jem7vwh and that is the best so fare.
But I prefer the sound in Dimarzio PAF PRO mics and the Jem7vwh has
Dimarzio Evolution mics.
I had before a Ibanez JS2000 and that guitar had PAF PRO.
So now I have ordered a Jem77fp whitch also have PAF PRO, but
I have not recieved it yet. But maybe that model is gone be my nr. 1

I have also owned a Gibson ES335 and that guitar have a good neck
and very nice mics. Very nice mics for rhythm playing and more
like AC/DC distortion stuff...

I have played on some Fender Stratocasters and a Fender Telecaster
but they was only ok. A Stratocaster have of course a unique sound
but I dont like the neck so much, and I prefer humbuckers for
heavy metal and also sometimes for lead. A more round sound
in humbuckers.

I also own a Kramer Fokus 3000, my first el. guitar.
Very nice neck and ok mics, but not the quality as the Gibson, JS
and JEM guitars. And I also owned a Line6 guitar, but that is just a toy hehe
I own also a Epiphone Zakk Wylde guitar, I think it is much the
same as a Gibson Les Paul. It have a nice neck and ok mics.
And it have a very cool finish :guitar :headbang

So the conclusion:
To this day the Jem7vwh is the best, but I waiting for the Jem77fp.. maybe
"The Holy Grail" for me :D

but,...GOD i would love to try a 7vwh , unfortunaly not made as a lefty.
who knows , maybe some day the guys from ibanez produce them. :)
untill that day my jem555 does the job for me.

peace,
patricia

Definately my JS1000...Suits me way more than the JEM7VWH, you can really put feeling into your playing. The JEM is nice though.
