Thats complete rubbish. Unless you're playing some sort of uber-long sweep.lobba wrote:HI

I can see this one turning into a "I'm faster than you" thread.
Fast doesn't matter. I've heard songs, if that's what you'd call them, where the guitar player is playing so fast that it sounds indistinguishable. There's really no point to just playing fast. It's ok to a point, but you can definitely go overboard on it.

True. Speed is cool. But don't over do it. There are tons of good song that are slow.

Knightmeir, i would have to agree with you, but that is not the point of this topic. It's just to see how fast we all can play. Every time there is a topic about speed, someone has to say "speed doesn't matter". Well obviously not in a musical sense, but I think we're just talking pure speed here, nothing more and nothing less.
I can play sixtuplets speed picked at 160 bpm on a good day. I am no speed demon though, I just play as fast as I need to.
just to clarify, I might be playing something like this:
-------------8----------
---8-10-12---12-10---
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
ascending and descending up the fretboard, on different string groups, skipping strings, etc. but pretty much when i keep it in a shape like that I can reach my fastest. Now, can anyone else please clarify their situation?

i can play wild thing!!!! hahaha roger i beat you easy!!!
and double it if you use delay!!!!!!!!!!The Prez wrote:Let me think, tapping and alt picking I can go about 1120-1330 bmp, but that's just a bad day. SOmetimes I can go as fast as 3050 bmp,now that's when I start a fire
or trippple!!!!!!!!!!
or you could use three notes on your fretboard hand, and do the satch reach around and two notes on your picking hand on the fretboard
thus five note tapping
combined with a single delay you cold do one note n each beat at about.................ten thousand bpm.
