satch is a couple of years older than steve, and steve's 45 right? that'd make satch about 47, or thereabouts. who cares about age anyway? just means they've had longer to practice!
That's how I remember it:
Satch is 4 years older than Vai; Malmsteen is 2 years youger than Vai; Vai was born in 1960.
Just make the Math.
And a little detail, all the 3 were born in June/July, so it is hard to see Satch 5 years older than Vai, and Yngwie 1 year younger than Vai, that if the order is Malmsteen, Satriani & Vai.
