hey people,
I have just aqcuired cakewalk pro audio version 9. its really weird for me. this is my first dealing with recording software. can anyone help me out with this giant of a program. how do i start recording and layering tracks. Im sorry if im bugging anyone but I really need to learn how use it in order to make a demo of my band. thanks for your time.

When you have recorded all your tracks and done the mix, e.g
adjusted paning, volum etc, then you can do a "mixdown".
Or mix-down or what it is called.
PS. You have to mark/select those tracks you want to be included
in the mixdown. MIDI tracks can not be included, you have to
record all MIDI tracks to audio tracks before they can be included in
the mixdown. (as I remember it...)
This will give you 2 new tracks that is a mix of all your tracks.
And you can export these 2 tracks to a single stereo wav fil.
This wav file you can burn onto a cd with a regular cd-burner software.
Cakewalk have good Help files so just hit "F1" and read
