Getting you Guitar Signed at the Show

I will be attending the Boston Avalon show on 3/31 and I can't wait. I have a question, and I know this has probably has been answered a dozen times or so within the Concert Reviews message board but there are too many spoilers in there and I want to be totally surprised when I attend the show.
I just wanted to know if anyone has brought their guitar to the EVO Experience to get signed and was able to leave to put it in their car and was let back in? Should I not even bother and leave it at home and just enjoy everything else? Please send my some feedback!

I got mine signed, another guy got his jem signed and put it back in his car.
