I believe that all slides are the same (if you're playing with distortion!) yep, maybe the bronze one will add some harmonics...
anyway if I remember the right thing in the Astoria dvd He uses a platic slide (maybe it's from dunlop  )

Does it matter? A slide is a slide, man. As long as it's metal.

I'm pretty sure it's a glass slide of some sort, they're not that different, shop around!

I'm not sure what brand of slide he uses but for the comments that a slide is just a slide...That's incorrect in my opinion...I play rock and blues and have an assortment of original 70's aspirin pill-bottles (slides) that are nothing like any plastic or metal slide made on the market today. Each slide has its own timbre as well as look and feel. There are also ceramic slides which are great for acoustic guitar. It's all up to the individual and the particular sound they're trying to achieve. But infact I do think that he uses a metal slide for the song "Bad Horsie". Listen to the song and compare it to Zakk Wylde's slide guitar in "No More Tears" in which he does use a metal slide...And if I remember correctly I saw him on the 2nd G3 tour or was it the Ultra Zone tour (???) and he did play with a metal slide on that song.
So there you have it...
