Re: Rig Update
It's not him... it's Carvin- they're a business and want to sell more amps and make more money... All the companies evolve/put more products our/change things up- try to make more money- sell more gear. He never used the Legacy II- he designed it with Carvin but kept using what he was using... gave...

Re: Rig Update
i don't necessarily think that Steve wants to keep changing his setup when it comes to amps. He's used the legacy one for like almost 15 years now, as long as I've been alive, and he seems quite happy with it. After using the L1 for so long and continuously loving it and having no problems I too wo...

Re: Rig Update
Well, its tough to compare one night to the next. Our memory is just not that accurate after that much time and there are a ton of other variables in play as well. That said, its getting a little embarrassing. How many amps are going to get released that he won't use? I get that it takes time to int...

Re: who wrote "touching tongues"?
all it says on the original cd sleeve is: ""All music written by Steve Vai, except "In My Dreams With You" by Steve Vai, Roger Greenwalt and Desmond Child; and "Pig" lyrics by Steve Vai and Devin Townsend"" It seems "Touching Tonges" is not mentioned anywhere except over the very surface of the CD,...

Re: 91 RG560 - Should I mod it?
I have an RG560 in Raspberry Ice. Its completely stock and in pretty decent shape. I am pondering a pickup change. Are these things worth anything these days where not being stock would be costly on the vintage market ala vintage Les Pauls? if its made in japan put all the money you want into it. D...

Breed Pickups
Are these pickups still used by Steve? Evo and Evo2 seem to be in the vast majority from what I can tell

....certainly suggests the possibility of a conflict with his existing deals with Ibanez for pedals and Carvin amps. I don't think that is correct. It's not. Whether it actually is or is not is not really what I was talking about. A quote like "its all I need" in reference to a device that touts is...

As usual, you don't know what you're talking about. Mikey vai.com yes, Mikey, keep the people naive, as usual ;). I´m not offending Steve for writing overwhelming stuff about every single piece of his endorsement things, but I offend people who say I have no idea of what I´m talking about just tryi...
