try playing a fast run with no muting whatsoever from either hand on full distortion with all the EQ up full This sums up how 'untight' you can get technically and distortion wise you can improve this equipment-wise by: less distortion sorting out your EQ better Compression pedal i find that slightl...

quick point on the washing hands before playing tip, dont play with wet hands, and wait til they are dry first, wet hands are the bane of callouses when playing gutiar!
you'll lose those hard bits we love so dearly as guitarists if you play when your skin is really damp

some of his tracks are strange, but he uses a lot of chicken pickin' and lots of country inspired stuff amidst heavy metal, its kinda cool

Modes are actually a rleativley simple concept, just sometimes hard to utilise. Take a key of C major (i hate typing out flats and sharps) C major scale: CDEFGAB C Ionian Mode: CDEFGAB C Dorian Mode: DEFGABC this is basically the whole point, its the same scale, but with a Tonal Centre of a note oth...

if playing sorta instrumental rock stuff, try gettign some melodies together, like satch n vai, find a melody that you like over the progression and base your 'improv' around it if youre wanting to open an instrumental song, try a vareity, guitar opening with a melody then backign track coming in, o...

i guess you should think of the song, and how it needs to be to fit it, if you want the solo to be a screaming rock solo that stands out, then maybe a hefty bend with a bit of extreme vibrato will be good, but if you want something to explore melodic ideas, preahaps you should start by trying to cop...

one thing id reccomend looking into is how much it would cost to get a normal steel stringed acoustic and fit a pickup to it.

it can give a wider range of guitars fgor you to choose

and ive got a crafter, it hasnt got a pickup yet, and i personally like the sound of it
