quick point on the washing hands before playing tip, dont play with wet hands, and wait til they are dry first, wet hands are the bane of callouses when playing gutiar!

i guess you should think of the song, and how it needs to be to fit it, if you want the solo to be a screaming rock solo that stands out, then maybe a hefty bend with a bit of extreme vibrato will be good, but if you want something to explore melodic ideas, preahaps you should start by trying to cop...

one thing id reccomend looking into is how much it would cost to get a normal steel stringed acoustic and fit a pickup to it.
