I dont disagree, and we all know vai will still be an awesome musician, one of the best that ever lived, whatever the outcome of this 'validation', but i think its an interesting thing to do, and i am eager to see his opinions on this.

My hands are pretty big, i can easily manage good old 9th chords at the 1st fret, can stretch from the 1st to the 7th and from the 12th fret to the 24th

so fairly large

they could be fingers, but he uses a vibrator on some of his tracks to get soem strange sounds by holding it next to the bridge pickup.

A Tribute to a Friend

Recently a friend has passed away in tragic circumstances, i want to start writing a tribute song but i suck at songwriting, esp the lyrics...if anyone has any tips that might help id be very grateful. :cry:

Again, it comes down to what works for you. Many great players limit the use of their pinky, SRV etc, and again, many dont, Vai and Gilbert for example.
