legacy tube test clips.......

could be that the knife edges of the trem worn out so there is a flat spot. and when you dive/rise the trem....it will 'click" when returned to the normal zero-point. but i never heard of a case so bad where it actually caused a click noise. check your springs in the spring cavity in the back. make ...

try these settings. bass -6 mids-5 highs- 6.5 pres -7 gain -7 volume - atleast 4 or more when recording with a mic, place the mic straight on facing the speaker about 1 1/2 inches away, but have the mic positioned so its looking at the edge of the speaker. then when you run this to your mix board, j...

honestly, a NEW carvin legacy costs about the same as a USED marshall. id get the legacy.

i dont know exactly what marshall steve used before, but i would think a JCM 800 or a DSL 2000 would get you the vai tone.

if you installed the pickup yourself ( or not) , check the red wire and make sure its connection is very tight. A lose connection causes loss in output.

the new evo2 are almost the same as the originals, but they took of some of that high end "ice-pick" treble that alot of people were complaining about from the original evos. by doing this, it lets the mids come out more, and it sounds a bit more 'nasaly" and like a wah wah stoped in the mid positio...

they hit the market almost a year ago. dimarzio kept it "hush, hush" untill recently putting it up on thier catalog. but they were available for sale a bout a year ago. To my knowledge, i dont think vai is using these. They are kinda like the BREED pickups, they were devoloped by him, but he doesnt ...

i own the rg 2550 ( laser blue color). honestly, its well worth the money. If you change out the pickups to some decent dimarzios, youll have whats called " the poor mans JEM". Mine plays sooooo smoothly, cause it has the new 'prestige wizard" neck. Its a very thin flat neck, and is a shreaders drea...

no, the power break is a separate attenuator....like the webber and the hot plate. you plug it inbetween the amp head and the cab. costs about the same as the hot plate, i had to special order mine cause no one will carry them or stock them in a store, always a special order.

i personaly got the Marshall "power break" because its easy to use. No fancy knobs, switches, tones,........just one simple knob....VOLUME. and you dont have to match ohms and such with it, it has a 16 ohmn or 8 ohm switch on the back, and thats it. as far as tone.......it doesnt do anything to the ...

i have the evo 2 pickup in a basswood body guitar, and it kicks ass! This pickup is very "middy" with out the "ice-pick treble" associated with the original evo pickups. Its almost to me like a hot "fred" with a bit more "nasal sound" to it. I really like it.
