i have the DS-1 ULTRA (with the extra toggle)......and it kicks but! i use it only for boosting an already distorted dirty channel of an amp, just to pump up the solos and such, and it does the trick. with the Ultra switch toggled on, it has a more fat, vintage OD sound....rather than the modded DS-...

this is a tough question. Im sure thomas nordeg (his tech) would have spare tubes just in case something were to go wrong in a live situation, and that would determine what tubes he uses in the amps. but then again......steve has 'back up' amps......probly not 'back up' tubes. so they may very well ...

hmmmm... i asked this question years ago....and i never got a response either. i think he uses the stock tubes to be honest. But the funny thing is......carvin is (or has) changed the stock tubes over this past year. originaly...the amps came stock with EH el34 and sovetek 12ax7WA tubes. NOW they co...

Ive had my legacy for 6 years now, and changed tubes numerous times, and even took the amp in for repairs ( at carvin factory)....and the reverb always feedsback when turned up past 8. you will allways have spri...

is the spring rattle being picked up and amplified through the spekaers when your volume is that high? Only reason i ask is......at higher volumes, the legacy is a meat monster....and WILL rattle those springs inside. But if you have your volume at 4, and the reverb knob is set down to zero....and f...
