string differences.........
I was always so stuborn about my strings...ive used 'Daddario' strings all my life, untill i recently used 'ernie balls'. To my surprise, the tone was the same, but the Ernie balls didnt corrode away as fast as the others did! With Daddarios, the strings would turn grey and get crap on them like bar...

wouldnt it be cool if..........
Wouldnt it be cool if ibanez made a JEM that had a marble(black-n-white) finish with zebra coil(black-n-white)pickups, and a shiny chrone hardware?
That would be my dream guitar!

tips on pickups
Try the dimarzio website, tons of info there on how they rate thier pickups. I currently use the evolution in the bridge, and a fred it the neck. I think this combo is SWEET! iIf your lookin for versitile pickups, I would suggest the "Breed", "norton(not the air norton, but the regular)", or the old...

Im glad to see a reply! After some time....I thought this was gonna be a dead post! Im glad to hear that ant711UK found some cool sounds with the staggering delay times. I currently have the first repeat set at 450ms and second at 700ms. I change it alot. But I found this delay setting dont sound so...

marshall power break .........
I really dont understand how the Marshall Power Break will screw up an amp head? If ya run it AFTER the head, what damage will it cause? If anything...it would only damage the speakers. I can understand that it wears out the tubes alot quicker,.....thats because most people dont get the opportunity ...

steves 2 delay units in his effects loop.........
I always wondered in his rig if steve runs these 2 delay units in series (one into the other) and are they both on at the same time? I read in 'www.guitargeek.com' about his live rig and saw two units and just wondered if he staggers the delay times like satriani does to get a verb-like ambiance. I ...

spring noise
 a good tip is also to just use some lemon oil on the springs (take em off and dip em in it) and then rub wax (or even bars of soap too!) on any spots that cause noise or friction....and that will help alot! I personaly like the way strings and sertain notes resonate with the trem springs........

If ya get the legacy half-stack, buy a 'Marshall Power Brake'. It costs about $300, but it makes it so you can run the amp at any loudness level (people usualy prefer tube amps to be louder than 7 to get a nice cranked tone) but the 'power brake' is like and additional volume level to take that loud...
