Ive tried to cover my legacy with blankets to help reduce volume when recording......but it sounded like crap to me. It almost sounded like useing that direct output (found on the back of the legacy) with just to my ears.........sounded fake and lifeless! I personaly dont like to cover the amp.....I...

Ultra zone speakers.........?
When the legacy first came out, it was equipt with "greenback" speakers. Now it has "vintage 30" in it. When Vai did the Ultra Zone cd, he used the legacy, but with what speakers? also in the "legacy demo" download from the carvin site, was that with the greenbacks?

The legacy tone controls are VERY sensitive.........keep that in mind. Im sure you can get a great scooped mids tone from it. There is a HUGE range in frequency of the controls, you can dial in almost any tone from any guitarist. keep in mind what pickups your using too.....that helps get what tone ...

im using the 'evo' in the bridge, and a 'fred' in the neck.
