come to think of it, i dont know of any of his guitars he is useing now have Breeds or the EVO2 (II) pickups....................

i think everyone of his guitars has the original 'evos'..............

but ive been waiting for years to hear for an actual confirmation on this subject.

i dont think MOJO has breeds.......i do know the stock JEMS (mirror) come with Breeds if you buy one at a store.....

but i dont think Steve uses Breeds in any of guitars.............

a breed will do well in a tele........a tele has a brighter characteristic as it is, the breed will help balance it out.

this pickup will do very well in this guitar.......

i own all 3 of those pickups.......and my favorite is the Breeds. They are nice and fat, VERY PAF-like, but with more power, and a bump in the mids. The 'highs" are real round and smooth, but the pickup isnt muddy. It is a bit 'bass' excesive if you doing palm mute stuff.......then it tends to sound...

for recording live CDs....im sure he will set his delays according to BPM tempo, but LIVE shows........he probly would use just a handfull of delay presets cause it would be a pain in the butt to change the delay settings between every song live........ for the most part (live) he will have 2 main d...

special EQ on the amp?.........eh........i personaly would just boost the highs. Try an EQ settings like this....... Bass- 6 Mids-4 or 5 highs- 7 (if you use the Carvin legacy amp, push the Presence button IN) I would keep the highs around 7, and start messing with the bass and mid knobs accordinly,...

the boston rain melody has a cetain "strat" tone that has chime and a tiny bit "quack" to the tone.........

for H/S/H pickup guitars.....use the (neck) H/S pickup selection......

for S/S/S guitars........use the (neck) S/S pickup selection

those tones sound like a single coil/ humbucker coil tap tone..........for your jem, try it with the pickup selector at neck humbucker/middle single coil.............
