please shoot me, thanks! Sorry, just had to. To address one of the topics in this thread.. Sustain really is in the fingers, that's a fact that I'd argue with anyone. However, what guitar you're playing and what amp you're playing on also has a big factor. My cousin has a behringer amp and he...

Re: curved frets
Hi, just saw the video with Steve about these curved frets, ok if Steve says so, it stays in tune!! But what about "bending a note" :? If the fret is moving closer to or further from the bridge, doesn't that change the length of vibrating string, thereby raising or lowering the pitch? I'm confused ...

Yeah I'm pretty set on a TZ bridge/Breed Neck combination, I can't wait to see and hear how it turns out. I've had sometime to spend with the guitar just stock and and I'm really not displeased at all by anything. And in actuality could get by with it as is for quite some time. But being the gear nu...

New RG prestige :)
Scored myself an RGA121 with a natural finish from guitar center the other day for 450 bucks. I had been playing this guitar on and off for like 2-3 years but just couldn't justify spending 900 on it because of the plain, but subtlety elegant appearance. But saw it on clearance for 450 and boom, the...

or try an rg350dx, nearer to the price range of the gsz120, the 350 REALLY kicks ass for what it's worth! Doesn't it have an unstable tremelo? For the price I'd prefer something that I could at least keep in tune. However, I have heard a lot of good things about it as well, and I know some have got...

I have the Pod X3 bean and I must say it has some seriously awesome sounds. IDK how much over-all improvement it has over the XT as I haven't gotten any sounds out of it that I couldn't get out of the XT after some tweaking. That being said though, even a lot of the stock settings were pleasing and ...

in the bridge position, yes. but i believe the neck pickup is just a high output DiMarzio single coil. But since the pick up is the heart of a guitar and he's replaced it with a higher output version, can one really say he plays a Strat or is he playing a Strat-shaped guitar? Overlord! I like that!...

Being lower down like that on the neck(lower as in, on the fat strings). Your fingers are having to reach across more fingerboard space to fret the notes, causing your wrist to be at an angle that you're not used to while sitting down. This is normal, and it will take practice to get used to, but my...

The necks only have 21 frets-there goes many of the solos I play! Only old strats and reissue strats have 21 fret necks. Most modern Fenders have 22 fret necks. Nantucket haha is that even worth adding to your arguement? 22 frets is still so limited. Really? Tell that to Joe Satriani :? . Good poin...

It shouldn't sound bad...I've never played the legacy, but using even my stock DS-1 through my cheap crate amp's OD channel yields an okay result. From what little I know about such things, my first idea would be that you had too much gain dialed in on the DS-1 and it caused the sound to be really m...
