My dad is a drummer and he bought P&W because he liked Steve with Whitesnake. P&W then got me into playing the guitar and when we saw Steve last year in Manchester, my dad said that it was the best gig he had ever been to (and he's been to a lot)! Now my dad always wants me to play Vai songs for him...

Teenager wanting a Jem - opinions

Hi, I'm just looking for some opinions on these guitars. Firstly, I'm a 15 year old guitarist wanting a Jem. I have a part-time job but it would take a long time for me to afford a Jem 7vwh, so does anyone reckon I should look towards buying a Jem 555. Are there any bad-points eg sound or whammy bar...

Firstly, the username is a joke and after last nights performance, I don't think that there is anyone in this world at Vai's standard! I will never forget last night! I’m only 15 but I don’t expect to see such an exceptional concert for a long time. Jeremy Colson introduced Eric Sardinas and immedia...

I'm 15 and I can play Vai, Yngwie, Satch and Gilbert, but it's what I like and I've been playing for about 4 years. If I was asked to play jazz etc I wouldn't have a clue what to do.

In no particular order: Steve Vai (unbelievable) Yngwie Malmsteen (saw him last week stood at the front) Joe Satriani (brilliant technique and melodies) Zakk Wylde (going to see him this week) Angus Young (not for technical ability but for his riffs) Paul Gilbert Slash Jimmy Page Jimi Hendrix Eddie ...

I like Gary2005's idea. How about having a competition where maybe 5 winners have the chance to get up on stage and play a short solo each with Steve. During this tour of America he let a fan get up and play with him so it might be possible. I don't think that there is guitar player out there who wo...
