The clips you see online are in digital HD. The DVD is standard definition (worse quality). I really wish there would have been a blu-ray release of this one. Some streaming services such as Amazon sell an HD stream.

Chances are that you aren't using the same gauge (thickness) of strings that the guitar came with. I'm sure the folks over at jemsite.com would be willing to help you out.

I'm buying the DVD too, but hopefully Sony will let us "double-dip" in the near future. I'm all for a digital download release if that gets us HD sooner.

I am also bummed that there won't be a Blu-Ray too, considering our new 4K world.

I recommend trying #12 first if the issue is present on the next guitar.

I really love this album, but the amount of digital clipping is very unfortunate. It's so obvious in many places that I wonder if the clipping happened earlier on in the recording process and was therefore unfixable by the time the mastering took place. It's a long shot but you could try cleaning the tube sockets. Do this by spraying some contact cleaner in all of the socket holes, or on all of the tube spikes, and then move the tubes in and out of the sockets several times.
