in front of amp means running the pedal on the floor into the input jack of the amp. example would be guitar into comp into amp as opposed to guitar into amp and comp in the loop sometimes labled on amps as effect send and return.

you can get a nice hendrix sound by putting a comp in front of the amp. try it

did you run the boss comp or any comp for that matter in the loop that will make it work the way it was meant to work and with little added noise if any. if you run in in front of the amp the noise will be high and act as more of a fuzz pedal.

general rule of thum would be wah first dist. after time based effects delays chorus phase and such in the loop. as far as the bbe i would put on the floor but the effects loop would be fine as well what ever sounds best to you. i would not leave the wah plugged in when not in use or add a true bypa...

well i would say another guitar would be the best answer. if thats not an option i would say a capo even though i hate the way they look it would solve your problem for less than 10 bucks.

i have a mxr dyna comp and it works great i love the keeley but imo its not much better then the mxr and is about 175 cheapier

It would one hell of a stage guitar with the house lights turned off or way way down and you can see the guitar it would be very cool but just to play around the house its wierd. it dont look to good without it being all lit up.
