The 02R is great, the MBOX is lacking if you want to make some real recordings of drums or of your entire band. it only has two channels The 02R has 8 analog channels and I believe it has ADAT lightpipe so that is 8 more channels of up to 44.1khz 16-bit audio (or half that for 96khz 24-bit) The diss...

This is probably the latest photo of my little home studio...not to much to it, but I can pull some great recordings out of it, it is also somewhat mobile... since I have added some new software plug-ins, includling fxpansions BFD which is amazing and I have moved my Tascam FW-1884 to the desk under...

Steve Doesn't use the DS-1 as his primary distortion neither does Satch, it is used to give a boost of distortion when they need a little more umph. DS-1's don't sound all that great. Another thing to note is that all the people who use the DS-1's professionally have one that was made in Japan or s...

The 1010lt is a pretty nice card to get started with. If you are looking for a decent pre-amp so you can get the best you can out of your mic (with a pre-amp there is no need for a mixer and it will sound better) look at some of pre-sonuses stuff... another option since I believe the 1010 has ADAT L...

This debate is as archaic and stupid as the whole "who's the fastest" thing. I for one like both EVH and Vai... If I said Tom DeLonge was better than Vai it is true, because, to me he would be if I wanted him to be. You can't judge everything off of speed and technicality, sometimes simplicity is be...

I don't think Steve has much of a reason to be requested on Radios or whatever, he isn't a Air Play artists for any type of broadcasting. He is, well, Steve Vai, he has established himself as is and has probably sold more records than most "big names" Not that it is bad to request Steve but the most...

There is absolutly no reason at all that anybody should use pro tools free. It simply sucks...it is a horrible representation of what pro-tools is really like. here are some decent audio programs that work way better http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ http://www.kreatives.org/kristal/index.php http://...

so just to clear things up... You don't need a "midi to usb" that has nothing to do with anything. Depending on your sound card, you probably just need a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter...$4 at radio shack or any music store that carries accessories like such If your sound card just has one input that is stereo ...

Depends if it is the pod or pod pro. With the POD you only have analouge connecters to actually record audio with, the midi in and out only allows you to modify patches, but it does work quite well, I have one If you have the pod pro it has S/PDIF and I am not sure but it might have ADAT Lightpipe w...
